Paris Points of Interests
The City of Love, Paris is the capital city of France. Paris is held in high regard for its position as a global center for fashion, art and food.
Paris has some beautiful scenic places to visit and is also home to the only Disney Park in Europe, Disneyland Paris, formerly Euro Disney.
Designed by Gustave Eiffel, and consequently named after him, the Eiffel Tower is 1,063ft tall and has the highest public viewing platform in Europe at a lofty 906ft.
The trip to the top costs €17 (£15) and you can choose to either go via lift or stairs. If you go via lifts you’ll have to take two lifts, changing on the 2nd floor but if you decide to climb the stairs you’ll get off at the 2nd floor and begin your 704 step journey to the top at your own pace.
I’d recommend stretching, first.
Oh, how very sophisticated of you.
A trip to The Louvre museum, home to Leonardo Da Vinci’s Mona Lisa, is not only a very elegant and cultured thing to do but also an amazing experience.
The building itself is the world’s largest museum and is divided into eight departments.
- Egyptian Antiquities
- Near Eastern Antiquities
- Greek, Etruscan and Roman Antiquities
- Islamic Art
- Decorative Arts
- Prints and Drawings
You’ll see some of the most famous pieces of artwork and historic artifacts during your walk through The Louvre and you’ll benefit from all of this for only €15 (£13), 18-25 year olds from the EU and under 18s go free.
The museum is open every day from 9AM until 6PM except Tuesdays. The Louvre will be open until 9:45PM on Wednesdays and Fridays.
Now for some fun for the kids.
Disneyland Paris is the most visited theme park in all of Europe.
Covering just over 7 square miles, Disneyland Paris contains two theme parks, numerous hotels, shopping, dining and entertainment complex and a golf course.
There really is something for the whole family to do.
And, as a bonus, Disneyland Paris is easily accessible from many of the great hotels offered by www.GoDesto.com
The two theme parks included in Disneyland Paris are the Disneyland Park, based off the original Californian Disneyland and Walt Disney Studios Park, which is themed more towards movies, behind-the-scenes and productions.
If you want to wow your kids, take them to Disneyland Paris. They’ll have the time of their lives.
