When it comes to food, there are a few things which are always so important to consider and they are price, taste and, of course, how healthy (or unhealthy) it’s going to be for me and how it’s going to affect my weight.

Fortunately, Dubai offers up some fantastic healthy options when you’re considering where to eat.  Here are our top dishes that are under 400 calories each so that you can enjoy your food, stress free.

Don’t forget to relieve some stress from your wallet, too, with some of these great cheap hotels in Dubai.

Turkish Omelette with a Strong Personality

What it is:  Kaftan, a fantastic Turkish restaurant that serves up some excellent food that can be surprisingly low calorie and quite good for you.  This signature omelette includes sautéed olives, mushrooms, peppers, tomatoes and herbs.

Where to go:  Kaftan at Jumeirah Beach Road.

How much you’ll pay:  You’ll pay around 40 AED (£8) for this.

Delicious Low Calorie Indian

What it is:  Enjoy some fantastic Eastern cuisine at Bombay Bungalow with their corn and sprouted mung chaat, get yourself a unique version of this very traditional Indian dish with the inclusion of cherry tomatoes, bhel dressing, blue tortilla corn chips and avocado.  Delicious.

Where to go:  Bombay Bungalow at The Beach opposite JBR.

How much you’ll pay: This one’s only 35 AED (£7).

Classical Egg Breakfast On the Lighter Side

What it is:  Eggs Benedict is always a favourite menu item but now you can enjoy this fantastic indulgent breakfast with a healthy focus.  Swap out some of those heavy ingredients for whole-wheat bread, yoghurt Hollandaise and beetroot puree and asparagus.  Fantastic, delicious and filling to keep you going all day.

Where to go:  Flow at Jumeirah Emirates Towers on Sheikh Zayed Road.

How much you’ll pay:  This one costs only 35 AED (£7).

Bodybuilder’s Delight

What it is:  Any low calorie diet is going to include grilled chicken and for good reason.  This fantastic white meat is full of protein, low in fat and extremely filling.  There’s a reason why chicken is a bodybuilder’s best friend.  This fantastic grilled free-range chicken has been marinated overnight with herbs and then cooked to perfection by the high class chefs at Kenza.  Combined with some carbs in the form of a delicious baked potato and grilled veggies, you’re completely set with this amazing and healthy meal.  I wish I could eat this three times a day for 2 months, I’d look amazing afterwards.

Where to go:  Head on down to Kenza at the Ramada in Downtown Dubai.

How much you’ll pay:  You’ll pay 60 AED (£12) for this one but it’s worth it.
