World’s Tallest Hotel (Again) in Dubai
I think at this point we can pretty much safely say with a certain degree of certainty that Dubai has quite the thing for collecting world records, don’t you think? At the moment, the United Arab Emirates is home to more than 300 official Guinness World Records and Dubai has quite a good chunk of them. It doesn’t matter where you head in Dubai you’re going to come into contact with the first, biggest, widest, tallest or longest something and it’s absolute fascinating to go around and see how many world records you can glimpse throughout your travels in Dubai.
After holding the current world record for the tallest hotel with the JW Marriott Marquis in Dubai since 2012, a brand new hotel, Gevora, will be breaking the new world record in February.

This brand new hotel is finally going to open its doors officially from the 12th of February and will be standing at an incredible height of 1,167ft (356 metres) with a little over 520 rooms. Gevora is going to be a five star hotel, with an incredible swimming pool, gym and, of course, top of the line spa facility.
The Gevora Hotel will take the title not only of the tallest hotel in Dubai but the world’s tallest hotel from the JW Marriott Marquis and will stand to become another amazing landmark in Dubai.
The hotel will be able to accommodate a huge number of guests within its over 230 deluxe rooms, 30 suites and over 260 one-bedroom rooms. A word of warning though before you all flock to book a room here, the Gevora will be a dry hotel and there will be no alcohol served in the restaurant or from any of the five top international restaurants.
