Dubai’s Top Beaches

January in most places is cause for extra layers, jackets, hats, scarves, gloves and thick woollen socks to keep you warm but, here in Dubai, things are a little different in January.  The daytime temperature of around 25 degrees Celsius means it’s some of the most perfect weather for relaxing by the pool or hitting the beach.  You can stay out all day long in 25 degrees!  Wear sun cream, though.

Hit some of these amazing beaches when you’ve booked your cheap hotel in Dubai.

Picturesque Beach With Plenty of Surfers

What it is:  One of our favourite places to go for some pretty great Instagram snaps, Sunset Beach offers up some amazing views of the iconic most luxurious hotel in the world, the Burj Al Arab, the waves and some pretty talented surfers, too.  Sunset Beach is the location of choice for Surf Dubai, and you’ll notice all of the incredibly cool surfers riding waves all across this beach.  It’s pretty amazing to see how easy they make it look and, if it’s looking easy enough, you can even opt to take part in some of the surf lessons that are held here every single day with Surf Dubai or try out Surf School UAE who are conveniently also located on the same beach.

At Sunset Beach you won’t find any public toilets or restaurants but you’ll catch a couple of little shops to grab some stuff to eat and drink and there’s a petrol station nearby, too.

When to go:  Luckily, this beach is open from sunrise until sunset so you can get some pretty fantastic shots throughout the day.

Kite Surfing Practice Spot

What it is:  This beach is definitely suited to the vast kitesurfing community in Dubai, where you can see them dipping, diving and speeding across the sea from this wide beach.  This beach is covered in quite a few little shrubs, which makes it a vast difference from some of the other beaches and landscapes in Dubai, so it’s a nice change.  Try out kitesurfing on this beach before you hit Kite Beach if you’d like to get in some practice.

While you’re at Nessnass Beach, again, you won’t find many facilities (well, any at all really) but it’s only a short walk to Sunset Mall which has plenty of dining options and toilets.

When to go:  Nessnass Beach is open from sunrise to sunset.

Incredible Beach Park

What it is:  Al Mamzar is one of our favourite parks in Dubai and luckily this fantastic beach park offers up an amazing variety of things to see and do while you’re there.  You can relax under the small palm trees, rent out a beach cabin or bicycle just to enjoy the breeze through your hair.

Al Mamzar Beach Park has swimming pools, picnic areas, kids’ play areas and more.

When to go:  You can go to Al Mamzar Beach Park any day from 8:00 AM until 11:00 PM.
