The Dubai Frame
When we first saw the plans for the Dubai Frame, we were absolutely amazed. It seems like Dubai has an endless bag of tricks to pull out in order to impress the residents, visitors and onlookers around the world with huge initiatives within the city.
Dubai, the most populous city of the United Arab Emirates, is known around the world as being one of the leading cities for technology, finance and architecture. Home to the world’s tallest building, the Burj Khalifa, the world’s largest shopping centre, the Dubai Mall, the world’s most luxurious hotel, the Burj Al Arab and a whole host of other great record-breaking and record holding things, Dubai seems to continue to expand their repertoire of amazing things to see and do while you’re in Dubai.
Come and see some of these fantastic things and see The Dubai Frame for yourself with a cheap hotel in Dubai.
The Dubai Frame
The Dubai Frame, a massive structure consisting of two twin towers, 150 metres tall (492ft) connected by an immense 96 metre long (314ft) sky bridge has been announced for January 1st 2018.
We’ve been watching the work going on with the Dubai Frame for some time now and we cannot wait to get our very own chance to take the panoramic elevator up to the top of the towers and cross the skybridge. This unique vantage point will offer up some of the best views of Dubai that you can possibly get.
Confirmation of the official opening next week comes from the Director General of the Dubai Municipality, Hussain Nasser Lootah, and will allow the public to begin entering the structure although, again, an exact date has not been given.
It’s confirmed that there will be a very limited number of visitors allowed inside the Dubai Frame during the opening period and access will be ticketed, although the tickets can be purchased online from The Dubai Frame website.
The new tourist attraction, located in Zabeel Park, was originally slated to open in 2015, but opening was postponed until after the opening of the hotly awaited Dubai Safari, which opened in December 2017.
The Dubai Frame is located in Zabeel Park, one of our favourite parks in Dubai and originally had an opening date of 2015. However, the work was postponed while the much anticipated Dubai Safari was being built which is now open. The Dubai Frame is expected to attract around 2,000,000 tourists per year to visit and, as Al Mutaiwei says, ‘Dubai Frame is one of the unique projects that Dubai Municipality is keen to implement. It is an aesthetic icon and an architectural landmark that culturally connects the past with the present, and an important attraction for visitors, tourists and residents alike.’
