The Best Things to do in Dubai On The Weekend

The Gevora’s Viewing Platform
What it is: If you’re interested in some of the amazing world records that Dubai holds, you’ll be amazed at the brand new tallest hotel in the world, the Gevora Hotel on Sheikh Zayed Road. With an amazing viewing platform with some of the most beautiful views of the city for only 100 AED (£20) for adults and 50 AED (£10) for kids and you’ll even get a voucher for a pastry tray and a drink at the La Veyron Café while you’re there.
When to go: The viewing platform is open any day from 10:00 AM until 9:00 PM.
Where to go: The Gevora Hotel on Sheikh Zayed Road.
What it is: One of the coolest little hotspots in Dubai with a combination of rural and urban aspects, The Yard is a fantastic little space to spend some time with some great street art, food, a farmer’s market and a romantic Promise Bridge.
When to go: Any time any day.
Where to go: The Yard is at Last Exit D89 in Al Khawaneej.
What it is: One of the most famous cartoon characters in the world, you can visit an incredible floral display in the likeness of none other than Mr. Disney himself, Mickey Mouse. You’ll pay 45 AED (£9) for adults and 35 AED (£7) for children under 12 years old.
When to go: The Miracle Garden is open until the end of May.
Where to go: Dubai Miracle Garden at Al Barsha South 3 in Dubailand.
Take in the views from Dubai Frame
What it is: The Dubai Frame holds the world record for the largest picture frame and is quite possibly one of the coolest new landmarks in Dubai. This huge 150 metre tall 93 metre long glass bottom bridge gives you the chance to look over old and new Dubai in one glance. The Dubai Frame costs 50 AED (£10) for adults and 20 AED (£4) for kids over 3. Kids under 3 and the elderly go free.
When to go: The Dubai Frame at Zabeel Park.
Where to go: Open from 9:00 AM until 9:00 PM.
