The Best Free Events in Dubai in December
Dubai has some amazing events throughout the whole year but we have a special place in our hearts for free events. If you don’t have to purchase a ticket, we want to be there. Luckily, Dubai is one of those places where there’s always something going on that you can attend for free.
Book your cheap hotel in Dubai, plan out your time and see how many of these amazing free events you can attend before we welcome in 2018.
Head on over to these top Free Events!
Dubai has some of the greatest camel races in the world. This exciting competition has major cash winnings and high-end luxury items up for grabs for the fastest camel. These camels are raised to run and, although they not run with as much grace as a horse, the races are just as competitive and exciting.
The atmosphere will be buzzing at the Dubai Camel Races throughout October, November and December. The Dubai Camel races are completely free and a fantastic traditional and cultural event.
Camel races take place throughout the year but will be running throughout December on the 1st, 2nd, 8th, 9th, 14th, 14th, 16th, 22nd, 23rd, 28th, 29th and 30th.
Poetry Night III
A great day out if you’re a fan of the spoken word. Taking place on the 1st of December, Dubai Poetics will be hosting their third poetry night at the Dubai Design District. If you love poetry and a nice chilled out atmosphere, Poetry Night is definitely the place to be. Spend an evening speaking with people cut from the same cloth, share your poems, hear recitals and enjoy a unique mixture of music and poetry by the band PAREA.
While you’re there, you can also enjoy a special set menu from the One Life Kitchen & Café.
Dubai Modest Fashion Week
Taking place on the 8th and 9th of December, Dubai’s top modesty focused fashion expo will be taking place. This huge conservative fashion show will showcase some of the best designs while keeping the spirit of Islam in mind. If you’re ever concerned with the lack of clothing options for Muslim women, just take a peek at the Dubai Modest Fashion Week and you’ll be surprised at the variety, colour and designs on display.
This amazing weekend event will be the highlight of the Islamic fashion industry, so don’t miss out.
Dubai Travelers Festival
Created by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai, the Dubai Travelers Festival is an international gathering of travellers and adventurers.
The attendees of the Dubai Travelers Festival have performed some great feat while journeying across the globe and you can attend for free at Mushrif Park on the 12th until the 17th of December.
Family Fun Day
I don’t know about you but an entire day focused around spending time together as a family just sounds like a fantastic initiative and this annual event in Zabeel Park should be the second biggest circle on the family calendar, in our opinion. This free event gives your family access to bouncy castles, cinemas and loads of activities like face painting, soccer and arts and crafts.
A free day out that the kids will thank you for all year.
